The San Bernardino Terrorists Weren’t Radicals, They Were Mainstream

By Daniel Greenfield

After Tashfeen Malik and Syed Farook killed 14 Americans in their corner of the Jihad over in San Bernardino, the media began its long laborious search for their moment of “radicalization.” The assumption that the intersection of terrorism and Islam can only be an aberration led to the conviction that there was some moment in time at which Malik and Farook became “radical extremists.” Initial reports pegged that moment of “radicalization” as having happened at some point during the twenty minutes after Farook left the party. When the amount of firepower and preparation made the idea of a twenty-minute radicalization massacre seem silly, the media tried to stretch it back for weeks. Now they’ve had to give in and pull back that dreadful moment of radicalization for years. [more...]

Hillary's Libyan Lies

Hillary Clinton has only one accomplishment - the Libyan War. Bombing Libya in support of a Muslim Brotherhood takeover was Hillary’s pet project. Obama unenthusiastically signed off on a war that he had told members of Congress "is all Secretary Clinton's matter." The Pentagon fought Hillary’s illegal war every step of the way. Both the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs opposed Hillary’s plan to bomb Libya. One of the Chairman's top aides said that he did not trust the reports coming out of the State Department and the CIA, then controlled by Clinton loyalist Leon Panetta. When it was clear that the Clintonites had gotten their war on, an irritated Secretary of Defense Gates resigned after failing to stop Hillary's war and was replaced by Panetta. [more...]

Netanyahu on Palestinian Muslims as Willing Jew Executioners

During a speech on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appropriately decried the "apologetics" which have minimized the role played by ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin el-Husseini, founder of the modern Palestinian Muslim movement, in fomenting genocidal Islamic Jew hatred. Netanyahu made these simple, irrefragable points, demonstrating how from the 1920s through the World War II era, the father of the Palestinians at that time, with no [Jewish] state and no so-called "occupation," no territories and no settlements, already sought, through systematic incitement, to annihilate the Jews. Regrettably, Hajj Amin el-Husseini is still a venerated figure in Palestinian society; he appears in study books and is exalted as the father of the nation, and this incitement that began then, incitement to kill Jews, continues. Proof our Southern Border is Under Attack by Muslim Extremists

America is in deep trouble. Your families are in grave danger... imminent danger. I have breaking news that has been shared by a border agent with only me. The question is: Why isn’t your government sharing this threat with the American people? And why aren’t major mainstream news organizations reporting on it; why is there a media blackout? The breaking news that I’m talking about is the grave imminent danger of radical Muslim terrorists crossing our open border with Mexico to attack our homeland. I've warned this was likely happening in hundreds of media interviews, speeches and columns for over a year now. My prediction is no longer a fear... it is now a fact. [more...]

Obama Loses Another War that He "Ended"

A day after the Taliban had overrun the city of Kunduz, Obama told the UN that "Ideologies are not defeated with guns, they're defeated by better ideas." The better idea that the Taliban had was fighting a war with guns, while Obama was still searching through his hashtags for a better idea than a bullet. Instead of convening a summit on "countering violent extremism," the Taliban retook the last of their cities to fall to the United States. In a single day in September, the Taliban had captured a city of a few hundred thousand people. Tajikistan saw the fall of Kunduz coming months ago, but Obama’s vaunted intel operation was too busy cooking the books to make it seem as if he was winning in Iraq to waste time lying about another war. In March, Obama was crediting himself with having shifted the momentum against the Taliban. Now the Taliban have shown him which way the momentum had really shifted. [more...]

Obama's Foreign Policy of Fantasies

Obama continued his feckless foreign policy charade at the UN on September 29th. He chaired what was billed as "The Leaders' Summit on Countering ISIL and Violent Extremism," and he met with Cuban President Raul Castro. At the summit, Obama claimed major progress in rolling back the Islamic State (or ISIL, as he refers to the jihadist caliphate occupying large portions of Syria and Iraq). By now, the president is certainly aware of the reported complaint, backed by 52 defense analysts, to the Pentagon’s inspector general, which alleged that intelligence reports on the war against the Islamic State were doctored in order to support the Obama administration’s claims that the fighting was going well.

Some of these doctored reports were reportedly used to brief the president and other high government officials, telling them what they wanted to hear. The defense analysts, who are career professionals, have painted a far more pessimistic picture of the fight so far than the Obama administration wants the public to believe. Nevertheless, while Obama acknowledged at the summit that the Islamic State fighters are "resilient" and that there will be some setbacks along with successes, he continued the false narrative that the Islamic State is in retreat. The fact is that Russian President Vladimir Putin is taking advantage of Obama’s lack of leadership in the fight against ISIL.  Putin is taking the lead himself, providing direct military support to the Syrian regime and building his own coalition including Iraq and Iran. Hillary Clinton’s 'Tough Foreign Policy' Scam

Only Hillary can make Hillary’s discredited policies work again.

By Daniel Greenfield

The phrase "Only a Clinton" entered our lexicon in the '90s. Ever since then, the unsinkable Clintons have continued spewing outrageous lies and ridiculous ploys that only a Clinton could get away with. Hillary Clinton tried campaigning for the White House without actually taking positions on anything. Iran was a particularly touchy subject because the Democratic Party has two constituencies that are sharply divided on the issue. Jewish voters oppose the deal while left-wing voters back it.

Hillary Clinton couldn’t pander to both at the same time. Or could she? Hillary Clinton endorsed the deal while in true “Only a Clinton” style running against it. She endorsed the deal using militant rhetoric that threatened Iran with war. Her message is that she endorses a deal that gives Iran near zero breakout time to the bomb and lets it self-inspect and fund terrorists, but that she'll be the toughest terror deal supporter you ever saw. No one will be tougher on that deal than her.  ...Only a Clinton. [more...]

Iran is Already Violating the Nuke Deal

As the congressional vote on President Barack Obama’s disastrous nuclear deal with Iran draws closer, the Iranian regime appears to be doing everything it can to show that it has the upper hand as a result of the deal it negotiated with the United States and its five partners. It is either dishonestly twisting certain terms of the deal to justify its misbehavior or simply defying the terms outright. President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry are not pushing back. Instead, they are pushing hard to avoid a veto-proof congressional vote of disapproval.

For example, Iran is planning to sign a contract for four advanced Russian surface-to-air S-300 missiles as early as next week, following a visit to Moscow by Iranian Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in violation of an international travel ban.  There have been whimpers of objection from the Obama administration, but no forceful statement that such activities by the Iranian regime will jeopardize the agreement from the get-go. [more...]

Obama Defends Iran Deal with Falsehoods and Slurs

Remember President Obama's outright lies as he was selling Obamacare? He is now lying on an even larger scale as he tries to sell his fatally flawed nuclear deal with Iran to a skeptical Congress, and to the American people, who currently oppose the deal by a large margin. In an address that Obama delivered yesterday at American University, Obama deliberately misrepresented the terms of his deal and slurred those who dare to question it. In a highly offensive and partisan tone, he accused the Republican caucus of being in "common cause" with Iran's hardliners opposed to the deal, ignoring the serious reservations to the deal among many in his own party and the American public at large. Obama's Iran Nuke Deal Lies

As is so often the case, President Obama is misleading the American people. The fact is there will be no 24/7 "anywhere, anytime" inspections allowed of undeclared suspicious sites. The fine print of the final JCPOA agreement provides Iran with the means to delay any inspections of undeclared suspected sites requested by the IAEA. Iran is empowered to raise objections to inspections of suspected sites, which would then have to be assessed by a commission that includes Iran itself as a member. Iran will thus have opportunities to exploit the mechanisms for international verification inspections, allowing it to rotate its covert nuclear arms activities from secret site to secret site during a protracted dispute resolution process... [more...]

Ten Reasons the Iran Deal is bad for America

Six global powers and Iran have made an agreement dealing with Iran's nuclear future and sanctions.  Without question, the deal places America, Israel, the Middle East, and the entire world at grave risk.  There is no need for America to go out on a limb and take this enormous risk.  This is simply a bad deal for America, quite possibly the most dangerous agreement America has made in its 239 years of history.  Let's list just 10 reasons why the Iran deal is bad for America now... [Go here for a complete analysis...]

Will Iran Call Obama's Bluff?

Barack Obama has repeatedly compared himself to Ronald Reagan as a transformative president... but labels mean nothing. Obama could demonstrate that he learned something meaningful from the Reagan legacy by showing some backbone in his nuclear negotiations with Iran. He should order his Secretary of State John Kerry to walk away this week if Iran does not immediately concede on such vital points as allowing unfettered international inspections "anywhere at any time," including inspections of any military sites where suspected nuclear-related activities may have taken place in the past. Moreover, Obama should instruct Kerry to walk away if Iran continues to reject phased sanctions relief tied strictly to verifiable proof of Iran's compliance with each stage of its obligations under the terms of a final deal. If Obama were to do so, taking full advantage of the leverage afforded by tight economic sanctions imposed on Iran, he would be following in the footsteps of Ronald Reagan, not Neville Chamberlain.  [more...]

The Mideast Maelstrom on Obama's Watch

Rarely in the history of American foreign policy has a U.S. president been so fundamentally wrong about a vital region in the world, with lethal consequences. President Barack Obama's legacy will be an unstable, roiling Middle East and North Africa. His policies are enabling a more aggressive Iranian regime to spread its Shiite brand of Islamic jihad throughout the region and gain a path to becoming a nuclear armed state. His withdrawal of all combat troops from Iraq in 2011, coupled with his abetting of the false hopes of the Arab Spring, have given rise to a strengthened Islamic State with ambitions for a transnational caliphate. Shocking: Experts Reveal How Terrorists Could Turn These 32 U.S. Cities into 'Radioactive Holes'

World War III may have already begun in the Middle East, with the destabilization of governments and expansion of terrorism in Libya, Egypt, Iraq, and Yemen. This is happening amid a struggle for regional dominance between two oil-rich Muslim powers, Shiite Iran and its rival across the Persian Gulf, Sunni Saudi Arabia. President Obama is promoting an agreement with Iran that, according to U.S. allies such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, would "pave the way" to Iran's theocratic regime acquiring nuclear weapons. Iran's ruling ayatollahs believe that they can bring about the global triumph of Islam by launching an apocalyptic war. It seems odd that President Obama wants to prohibit law-abiding Americans from owning a .22 caliber rifle, yet is eager to sign an agreement to help Iran's doomsday ayatollahs acquire atomic bombs. Is Obama Ready to Confront Iran Over Yemen?

The Obama administration, while showing willingness to cave in to just about every Iranian demand in the ongoing nuclear negotiations, appears to be flexing its muscles in the Yemen proxy fight between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt is headed toward the waters off Yemen from the Persian Gulf, escorted by the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy. Its presence will add to the fleet of other American warships already there, including cruisers and destroyers, conducting maritime security operations in or around the Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, the Strait of Bab-el-Mandeb and the Southern Red Sea. If President Obama's track record of backing down in the face of Iranian demands in the nuclear talks is any indication, Iran does not have much to worry about. He will most likely back down as well from undertaking any consequential confrontation with Iran over Yemen. [more...]

The Iran Deal and What People Can Do Now to Stop It

This treaty/deal/agreement - whatever they are calling it - is bogus. The Iranian's signature on the agreement is worthless. Remember, we are dealing with a theocracy that bases everything it does on Islamic principles including principles of war and dealing with or deceiving your enemy.

One of the major tactics practiced by the prophet Mohammed in war is deception. There is even a law in Islam called "Taqiyah" which means you can utter any lie or sign any agreement to deceive your enemy while you are in a weak position. You can break that agreement as soon as you think you can defeat your enemy.

Prophet Mohammed signed a 10-year treaty with the Meccans called the "Treaty of Hudaybiah," which I discuss in my book. They were in a battle and he couldn't defeat them, so he signed the treaty with them promising that he will cease any confrontation or attack with them. Mohammad used the treaty to build his army and train and strengthen it. He broke the treaty two years later and attacked Mecca and took over the city in 24 hours because the Meccans were not expecting it. Thus, it became the principle battle of war strategy in Islam.
An example of this principle being used in recent years was the Oslo accord signed between Israel and Yasser Arafat in 1993. When the Arab media would ask Yasser Arafat, "How could you sign a peace treaty with the devil?" he would tell them: "Remember Hudaibiyah." The Arab street understood exactly what he was talking about while the West, including Israel, was oblivious. Arafat used the peace accord to build his police and train them (armed and trained by the Israelis, no less). In less than 8 years, Arafat turned against Israel and used his own forces trained by Israel to attack Israel and start the second Intifada. As a result, today Gaza is a mini terror state ruled by Hamas. Israel has a wall surrounding it to protect it from suicide bombers. Rockets fall like rain on Judea and Samaria. The Palestinian Authority is basically nothing, except this time with Iran, we are doomed when Iran finishes the nuclear bomb. The West is too blind to see the writing on the wall or even learn from history.

Destroy Iran's Nuke Facilities... Don't Wait for Musical Chairs "Regime Change"

I share the legitimate concerns of center-right critics over the gravely delusive and dangerous concessions the Obama Administration appears hell-bent to agree upon in its nuclear negotiations with Iran.

It has also become axiomatic, however, that each center-right tocsin of looming calamity regarding the apparent disastrous essence of the Obama Administration's hotly pursued Iran nuclear deal will invoke the alleged panacea of Iranian "regime change." Invariably, truculent reminders of President Obama's failure to support what I have termed the Soylent Green Movement, during the summer of 2009 accompany the regime change chorus. While certainly not as damaging as the nuclear weapons-abetting Obama Administration "Iranian diplomacy," the incessantly repeated "alternative" notion of Soylent Green Movement-inspired regime change is another corrosive delusion, particularly when championed in lieu of near-term, targeted, concerted destruction of Iran's four known major nuclear materials production facilities.

Regardless of the attitudes of current political leadership and policymaking elites, across the political spectrum, polling data strongly suggests that an overwhelming majority of Americans are fully cognizant of Iran's intentions, and the unacceptable security threat posed by an Islamic Republic armed with nuclear weapons. Perhaps such gimlet-eyed Americans will elect equally astute political leaders also endowed with the courage necessary to authorize targeted military strikes which complete a task Israel will have initiated by 2015: destroying, or severely damaging the Islamic Republic of Iran's current nuclear development facilities, forestalling, and perhaps even preventing long term, a nuclear weapons-armed Iran. Obama Whitewashes Iranian Terrorism

The Obama administration is shamelessly whitewashing the Iranian regime’s state sponsorship of global terrorism, no doubt to help soften Iran’s image in preparation for trying to foist a bad nuclear deal on the American people. It also did the same thing for Iran’s jihadist proxy terrorist group, Hezbollah. The administration’s most recent unclassified version of the Worldwide Threat Assessment of the U.S. Intelligence Community report published on February 26, 2015, delivered to the U.S. Senate by National Intelligence director James Clapper, conspicuously omitted any reference to the ongoing terrorist threat posed by Iran and Hezbollah. While acknowledging that Iran remains "an ongoing threat to U.S. national interests," the report noted Iran’s "intentions to dampen sectarianism, build responsive partners, and deescalate tensions with Saudi Arabia." The report also noted Iran's commitment of more resources to the fight against the Sunni extremists of the Islamic State. [more...]

'Mindslaughtered:' U.S. Arms Negotiations - From Communists to Jihadists

Irrational, hypocritical attacks on Sen. Tom Cotton and the GOP-47 for their March 9, 2015 "Open Letter to the Leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran" notwithstanding, the Senators' message has had a salutary clarifying effect. We now know that the looming nuclear agreement with Iran:

1)      will be a non-binding agreement under international law.
2)      will not be converted into binding obligations by the U.N. Security Council.
3)      will not be submitted to Congress for a vote.

This latter point - not submitting the "agreement" to Congressional vote - is contrary to almost all past arms control agreements, which have been Senate Advice and Consent Treaties (whose approval requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate). Thus, absent Congressional approval, the Obama Administration appears hell-bent on giving legitimacy to Iran’s uranium enrichment program, and waiving economic sanctions on Iran. The appalling Iran deal, as being negotiated till now, also fully ignores Iran’s ongoing ballistic missile, and nuclear weaponization programs.

The experience of Soviet-era tactical deceptions - lies and cheating - during decades of arms control efforts, has no resonance with our ineducable present day State Department officials engaged with takiya- (Islamic dissimulation) practicing Iran in its relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons capability. Indeed, Soviet totalitarianism simply reproduced many of the features of long pre-existing totalitarian Islam - most notably, the quest for global domination.

Mindslaughter, the brilliantly evocative term coined by historian Robert Conquest for delusive Western apologetics regarding the ideology of Communism, and the tangible horrors its Communist votaries inflicted, applies equally to the current state of U.S. engagement with Iran, "normalizing" a global jihadist, Jew- and infidel-hating, Shiite theocracy. We are in crying need of Conquest's intellectual courage and brutal honesty when it comes to addressing the contemporary scourge of resurgent jihadism and its most dangerous manifestation: a nuclear weapons possessing, jihadist Iran.  [more...]

Jordan Follows Obama and Negotiates with Terrorists

Jordan announced its willingness to release an imprisoned jihadist female terrorist, Sada al-Rishawi, to ISIS in exchange for the release of a Jordanian pilot, 1st Lt. Muath al-Kasaesbeh, whom ISIS captured in Syria. "Jordan confirms that it is completely prepared to release the prisoner Sajida al Rishawi if Moaz al Kasasbeh is released and his life is intact," said the Foreign Ministry statement. "The priority of Jordan from the start of the crisis was to insure the life of our son, the pilot Kasaesbeh," said the spokesman, Mohammed al Momani. [more...]
