Al-Awlaki Says He Was Tipped Off by Washington Post

Go here for my latest NRB post. The Al-Qaeda leader in Yemen, Anwar al-Awlaki, is saying that he learned from the Washington Post that he was being tracked, so he stopped communicating and left his location, which allowed him to escape air strikes targeting him. [more...]

Homeland Security Alert: Somali Terrorist on the Loose in Texas?

Last week, the Department of Homeland Security warned Houston law enforcement that a Somali terrorist named Mohamed Ali could be in their area. Ali is a member of al-Shabaab, the terrorist group currently fighting for control of Somalia. Al-Shabaab has proven to be frighteningly effective at recruiting Westerners, including Americans. The Israeli-Arab Alliance Against Iran

The unlikeliest of alliances has been created. Many Arab states, including ones who do not even recognize Israel’s right to exist, are finding themselves in the same corner as the Jewish state their populations are taught to hate. Radical Shiite Iran is seen by Sunni Arab governments as more aggressive and a greater threat than Israel. They understand that Iran has the desire to overthrow their regimes. [more...]

A Bogus Deal on Iran

Both Turkey and Brazil have grown much closer to Iran in recent years and have voiced their opposition to further sanctions. So it is not surprising that they have now come to the Islamic Republic's rescue, handing it a lifeline on its nuclear program just as the Obama administration, after a year of failed diplomacy, had begun to contemplate the possibility of new sanctions. [more...]

See No Radical Islam, Hear No Radical Islam

On May 13, Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) confronted Attorney General Eric Holder about whether radical Islam was the motivating factor in the terrorist plots against the United States over the past year. Rather than acknowledge the religious-ideological threat posed to us, Holder continued the Obama Administration’s pattern of trying to avoid using terms like "radical Islam" and "Islamic terrorism." Russia to Build Nuclear Power Plant in Syria?

For the first time since the Bolshevik Revolution, Russia’s president visited Syria. Of all the things to discuss and announce, Dmitri Medvedev and Bashar Assad held a press conference afterward where they announced that they had talked about nuclear cooperation, including the potential construction of a nuclear power plant in Syria. Any effort by Syria to get nuclear weapons capability must be seen as an extension of Iran’s own efforts. [more...]

Part-Time Allies

President Bush famously said after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that every country had to decide whether they were with us or against us. Unfortunately, several so-called allies have decided to tackle some terrorist groups and not others, believing that the U.S. has no other option but to accept their half-hearted collaboration. Recent news from Yemen and Pakistan show that these two countries are double-dealing and need to be held accountable. [more...]

Brigitte Gabriel: Stand With the Victims of 9/11

Sign Our Petition Opposing a Mosque at "Ground Zero"
By Brigitte Gabriel of http://www.actforamerica.org/

Imagine the American response in 1950 if the Japanese government sought to erect a shrine to its World War II Emperor in Pearl Harbor, right next to the sunken wreckage of the USS Arizona. Would "outrage" be strong enough to describe the response?

Fast forward to 2010. Less than nine years after the worst terrorist attack on American soil in our history, an imam who blames America for the 9/11 attack wants to construct a 13-story mosque and Islamic center 600 feet from "Ground Zero." This is an outrage!

Public opinion forced many New York officials, as well as officials in the Obama administration, to reconsider locating a civilian trial for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11, in New York.

Now we need a tidal wave of public opinion to flood New York officials telling them that allowing a mosque to be built at Ground Zero is a slap in the face of the thousands of families who lost loved ones in that Jihadist attack.

This is why ACT! for America is launching a nationwide petition that we will deliver to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, urging him and other New York officials to oppose the building of this mosque in this location.

To read and sign the petition, please go here. Only your name and state will be included in the petition we send to Mayor Bloomberg.

9/11 survivors and their families are in disbelief at the insensitivity being expressed by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his supporters who want this mosque at Ground Zero. They are astonished that an imam who endorses sharia law - the same law system that motivated the Jihadists to blow up the World Trade Center, would be so brazen as to erect a mosque at Ground Zero. There are many other places such a mosque could be located.

What's more, guess what day they are planning for the grand opening of the mosque? None other than September 11, 2011 - the ten-year anniversary of the Jihadist atrocity.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! This grotesque symbolism, this spitting in the face of the families of the victims of 9/11, is going too far! I urge you to join me in standing with the families of the victims of 9/11. Please sign our petition and forward this e-mail to EVERYONE you know! Now is the time to ACT!

Always devoted,
Brigitte Gabriel

"Islam Rising" Coming to a Billboard Near You

The Christian Action Network is taking the fight against radical Islam to a new level by launching a massive campaign to put billboards up in South Carolina promoting its latest documentary. Each billboard simply states, “Islam Rising—Be Warned,” in reference to the title of the film, “Islam Rising: Geert Wilders’ Warning to the West.”

“Islam Rising” shows how radical Islam has made tremendous progress in conquering Europe, gaining footholds in communities and governments. To show how dangerous the situation has become, the film tells the story of Geert Wilders, a highly controversial member of the Netherlands’ parliament currently on trial for alleged hate speech for criticizing Islam.

Wilders lives in constant fear of his life for making a film titled “Fitna” showing how verses in the Koran, Islam’s holy book, are motivating the extremists to act with violence. For the first time in the United States, “Fitna” will be distributed as part of the “Islam Rising” documentary.

“We chose to put the first billboards up in South Carolina because of the terrorist training camp that currently exists in York,” Martin Mawyer, the President of the Christian Action Network said.

Mawyer was referring to a topic covered in his organization’s previous film, “Homegrown Jihad,” about how a group called the Muslims of the Americas has set up compounds throughout the country that are used to recruit and sometimes train followers.

Already, two billboards have been put on busy South Carolina interstates. The 14x46 displays are located on I-26 at mile-marker 125 and US 301N in Orangeburg.

CAN is currently negotiating for four more billboards to be put up in the state and billboards are set to go up in Tennessee within weeks.

Is Osama Bin Laden Enjoying a Safe Haven in Iran?

The average commentator thinks that Osama bin Laden’s trail has gone cold and that there is no credible eyewitness testimony as to where he is located. The only available public testimony is that a member of the Taliban arrested in Pakistan claims his colleague met bin Laden in Afghanistan in the first two months of 2009 - important information, but second-hand and unverifiable. The truth is that there have been credible leads, and these leads point to Iran. [more...]

Faisal's Terror Ties

Faisal Shahzad, the Pakistani-American who tried to set off a car bomb in Times Square, has numerous links to the Taliban in Pakistan and there are increasing indications that he was not a “lone wolf” as was initially assumed. The plot is proof that the Taliban is just as much a terrorist group as Al-Qaeda and must be treated the same way. [more...]

A Game-Changing Weapon

The Russian company Concern Morinformsystem-Agat is marketing a deadly new weapon - one that can allow a rogue state to overcome the technological superiority of Western militaries. The system can even be used to carry out devastating attacks on the U.S. homeland with little means of defense. [more...]

The Drone Campaign

President Obama has continued a policy begun in 2008 by the Bush Administration to allow the CIA to attack terrorists in Pakistan even when their names are unknown. This is extremely important, as it means that low-level operatives who are undergoing training to become a future bomber, such as Faisal Shahzad, can be killed just as much as the top officials can be. If the CIA focuses only on known leadership figures, it is ignoring the conveyer belt of terrorists that those figures are producing, and action is stalled as the agency tries to figure out who exactly the person is and whether they belong on the list of people it is permitted to kill. Honor the Founding Fathers by Supporting Independents

George Washington warned about "the baneful effects of the spirit of party," calling it "truly their [Americans] worst enemy." John Adams used especially prescient language, saying: "There is nothing I dread so much as a division of the Republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader and converting measures into opposition to each other. This ... is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution." Washington was so concerned about political parties that he devoted a major part of his Farewell Address to fighting against them. He cautioned that these parties are organized factions that seek to use the government to enact their agenda, "rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels, and modified by mutual interests." These parties, he predicted, would attract "cunning, ambitious and unprincipled men" who will then end up "destroying afterwards the very engines, which have lifted them to unjust dominion." May Day in Iran

The desperate economic situation in Iran is causing workers to lose their jobs or go months without pay, pushing them into the opposition camp. On International Labor Day on May 1, Iranians demanding freedom and better treatment of workers while the regime’s cronies live rich and comfortable took to the streets. With the exception of the Los Angeles Times, the Iranians also had to fight an inattentive Western media unwilling to help them by providing coverage. [more...]

South Carolina Newspaper Reports on MOA Site

A South Carolina newspaper is downplaying concerns about a site called "Holy Islamville" in their site, a Muslim closed community run by a controversial group called Muslims of the Americas. The Christian Action Network has accused MOA of being an extremist organization that offers paramilitary training to some of its members. On April 25, an article was published in The Herald of Rock Hill, S.C., titled "Officials: No Reason to Fear Holy Islamville." The news report was copied in The Post and Courier of Charleston and The Sun News, although the title of the article was more alarming in those two publications. [more...]

New Film Answers Questions Behind Attempted Times Square Attack
By Martin Mawyer

No one in the media has asked the most important question regarding the recent car-bombing attempt in New York City. They know who did it. They know where it was done. They know when it was done. They even know what kind of bomb it was. But few are asking the important question: WHY it was done. Why would Faisal Shahzad want to kill hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people? That answer can best be found in a new film produced by Christian Action Network called Islam Rising. This shocking film will not only explain why radical Islamists want to murder innocent souls, but why they want to conquer societies, communities, cities and even governments and nations.

Brigitte Gabriel: Mobilizing Americans from Times Square to the Grassroots

Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud, who was thought to be killed by America, has released a videotape after the attempted car bombing in New York City, vowing to attack major US cities. He stated: "The time is very near when our fedayeen (suicide bombers) will attack the American states in the major cities."

"Homegrown terrorism is reaching an all time high. Over 55 Americans have been arrested in the last twelve months alone, all Muslims, trying to kill Americans," said Brigitte Gabriel, President of ACT for America, the largest national security grassroots organization in America with 80,000 members and 380 chapters nationwide.

"We are mobilizing Americans to be the eyes and ears of freedom and security in their community. We just launched Veteran Defenders of America, mobilizing vets throughout the country to work together, and with first responders and law enforcement, to prevent a terrorist attack just like what happened in New York," says Brigitte Gabriel.

"Veterans have training, skills and experience that uniquely enable them to respond to our government's message that encourages family and community preparedness and citizen awareness. From detecting suspicious activity prior to a crisis - just like what happened in Time Square - to helping with emergency management should a crisis occur, America's veterans are being actively mobilized nationwide.
