Palestinian Statehood: An Ominous Vote at the U.N.

Permanent United Nations Observer of Palestine, Riyad H. Mansour, heralded the upcoming vote by the United Nations General Assembly on November 29th to upgrade the Palestinians’ status to an observer "state" as an "historic event." He boasted that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s maneuver, in which Abbas will personally appear at the General Assembly and present the resolution for a vote, was a form of resistance to Israeli occupation that Mansour labeled "diplomatic resistance." The Israeli-Hamas Cease Fire: Winners & Losers

Since last week the world has been celebrating a brokered cease fire deal between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The cease fire was the result of what appeared to be an imminent ground assault by the Israeli troops against the militant Islamic group Hamas. The fighting which began few weeks earlier was the result of the constant missile firing by the militant group from the Gaza Strip against Israel. For years Hamas has been firing thousands if missiles onto Israel in an effort to instigate a fight. Supported by Iran, Hamas' missile arsenal included long range missiles capable of reaching prominent cities including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Such a non-stop assault was the reason for the Israeli retaliation against the terrorist group. However, one must ask: who are the winners and losers out of this deal? [more...]

What Americans are Paying for in Egypt

The U.S. government is about to add $450 million to its $16 trillion debt for the sake of Muslim Brotherhood-run Egypt. According to the New York Times the emergency cash transfer is part of a $1 billion aid package pledged in May. The original plan was to provide $190 million as soon as possible, but the declining economic conditions of Egypt convinced the Obama Administration to more than double that amount. Another $260 million will be delivered once Egypt secures a $4.8 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund. [more...]

Re-Arming Gaza’s Terrorists

President Obama pushed Israel into accepting a ceasefire arrangement with Hamas, which was engineered by Hamas’s Muslim Brotherhood patron, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. Under the terms of the ceasefire, Israel is supposed to negotiate, through Egyptian intermediaries, an easing of border restrictions between Gaza and Israel. This would be the same Egyptian government that had sent its prime minister to Gaza to express solidarity with Hamas during the fighting. Hamas, on the other hand, is not required to give up its remaining stockpile of Iranian-supplied weapons, nor to commit to cease all further imports of Iranian missiles or missile parts. In short, the ceasefire is a sham. Only a Gaza Strip without re-armed terrorists can truly stop the fire in the long run. [more...]

Morsi Becomes Egypt's 'New Pharaoh'

On November 21, Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi was praised for his role in brokering a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. He had positioned himself as the moderate peacemaker worthy of the $1 billion per year the U.S. had given his predecessor. The very next day he cashed in his good will with an enormous power grab that made him, in the words of one prominent Egyptian, the “new Pharoah.” [more...]

King on Petraeus

After Rep. Peter King's appearance before the press after David Petraeus appeared before the House Intelligence Committee on November 16, he is clearly struggling with what he has heard from Petraeus: a version of Petraeus' September 14 briefing at odds with what King and, more important, the record as set at the time by the ranking Democrat Dutch Ruppersberger, recall. In a nutshell, on September 14, Petraeus emphasized a "spontaneous," video-driven protest that became violent as "extreme" groups opportunistically attacked the U.S. compound (with RPGs and mortars). Petraeus spun this false narrative to the intell committee at a time when the U.S. government already knew no protest whatsoever had taken place in Benghazi; rather, that the ambassador and three other Americans had been killed in a planned assault by al-Qaeda linked groups on the anniversary of 9/11. Petraeus' testimony, in other words, was a lie and an outrage - but no one seems to care. Meanwhile, it is a crime to lie to Congress, oath or no oath. [more...]

Targeted Killings: Good for the U.S.; Good for Israel

There have been one million people, extending from Ashdod to Sderot who have been receiving a steady barrage of rocket attacks and have fifteen seconds to run for their lives. Israel has endured over 800 of these attacks from Gaza in the last year. Could you imagine how the United States would respond if San Diego were receiving this sort of an onslaught from Mexico, or Buffalo from Canada? According to article 51 of the United Nations Charter, every any nation has an inherent right to defend itself. Hamas, which is on the official State Department list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations, was swept into power in free and open elections on January 26, 2006. It is the group that has been behind much of the suicide bombings which Israel has endured since 1996. [more...]

The Three Evil Pillars of the Palestinian Jihadist War Strategy

Israel is currently fighting a three-pronged war in its on-going struggle to protect its citizens from Palestinian terrorists - physical asymmetric warfare, cyberwar and lawfare. Together they constitute the three evil pillars of the Palestinian jihadist war strategy that are a severe threat to Israel’s security. The most obvious is the unremitting rocket assaults launched from Gaza by Hamas and its jihadist brethren. Before the current hostilities broke out, they had already fired hundreds of rockets against Israeli civilian population centers all during 2012, despite repeated warnings by Israel to stop and letters to the UN Security Council that were repeatedly ignored. Finally, Israel decided that enough was enough. It had to send an unequivocal, forceful message or the daily terror suffered by its citizens would only get worse. [more...]

11-16-12 National Security Updates

Four Islamists on Gov. Christie’s Muslim Outreach Committee

A RadicalIslam.org investigation has discovered that at least four Islamists sit on New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s Muslim outreach committee, which was formed after Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa concluded in May that NYPD intelligence-gathering operations in New Jersey did not break any laws. All of the information about the Islamist backgrounds of these four committee members is publicly available, yet the Christie Administration picked them to serve as liaisons to the Muslim community of the state. As a result, they are having private meetings with N.J.’s top security officials. This is just the latest example of Christie’s embrace of Islamists that should be shunned, not exalted. [more...]

Illinois Islamist Conference 'Educates' Next Generation

American Muslims for Palestine has added four more Islamists to their lineup of speakers for their conference near Chicago on November 22-25 (not to be confused with the other Islamist conference, the 11th annual convention of the Muslim American Society and the Islamic Circle of North America in Chicago on December 22-25). The program for the event also reflects an Islamist agenda, including a session that legitimizes Palestinian terrorism. And, most disturbingly, there’s a session about how to teach these beliefs to children. [more...]

Muslim Brotherhood Mobilizes for Hamas

Israel has finally struck back against the terrorist enclave of Gaza after having 120 rockets fired at it since Saturday and over 700 this year alone. For now, the Obama administration is rhetorically supporting Israel, but the Muslim Brotherhood government in Egypt is doubling down on its support for Hamas, Gaza’s ruling terrorist organization, and has withdrawn its ambassador to Israel. U.S.-based Islamists and their non-Muslim allies can be counted on in the ensuing days to pressure the administration to throw Israel under the bus in favor of the Islamist rulers of Egypt. If Egypt takes action, the administration will have to choose between its relationship with Israel or its relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood. There is no middle ground to straddle. [more...]

Obama’s America: Jailed for Blaspheming against Islam

Obama believes his re-election gives him a mandate to continue on his path to “fundamentally transform” America. He is well on his way to fundamentally transforming the First Amendment’s protection of freedom of speech to a more Sharia-friendly version. The transformation is playing out before our eyes in the persecution of the producer of the anti-Islam video blamed by Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other top administration officials for the Benghazi murders. The day after Obama’s re-election victory lap, the video producer, Mark Basseley Youssef, was sentenced by a federal district court judge to one year in prison for violating the terms of his probation. The Obama administration had gone after Youssef relentlessly, using probation violations as a convenient pretext to arrest and prosecute him. The real goal was to punish Youssef for blasphemy against Islam - a crime under Sharia law. [more...]

More Details on Benghazi

On September 17, Reuters ran a story headlined: "Intel agencies warned U.S. Embassy in Egypt of possible violence." That's nice. So why didn't "intel agencies" warn the US Embassy in Libya of possible violence, too? Presumably because the "intel agences" -- Petraeus' CIA, no doubt -- were focused on a "video threat" in Egypt, not in Libya, and on September 10 they cabled the embassy in Egypt accordingly. Egypt was indeed jump-starting another Islamic rage cycle from a Youtube video clip, "Innocence of Muslims," whose producer, incredibly, remains in jail on "parole violations." But, conveniently forgotten amid the many administration statements that there was no forewarning of an attack in Libya, AQ leader Ayman al-Zawaheri uploaded a video of his own on September 9 and 10 calling for Libyans to attack the U.S. to avenge the U.S. killing of a senior AQ leader from Libya, Yahya al-Libi. This video apparently went ignored by these same "intel agencies." [more...]

Did Iran Have a Hand in Benghazi?

There have been a slew of breaking reports concerning what might have drawn the late Ambassador Christopher Stevens to Benghazi on September 10 and 11. The different strands of this developing story indicate that Stevens may have been there to oversee or inspect an ongoing covert CIA operation to supply weapons and men to the jihadist-dominated "rebels" fighting Syria's Assad. Stevens' last meeting, after all, was with Turkish Consul General Ali Sait Akin. Turkey, of course, with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, is a leading supporter of the "rebels" fighting to overthrow Assad. But there may be a deeper, more secret layer of dirt to unearth. [more...]
