Vindicated for Removing Saddam

President Bush's top political advisor, Karl Rove, said on July 15 that his biggest mistake was not fighting back against Democrats trying to score cheap political points by accusing the President of lying to get the country to support an invasion of Iraq. Rove is right, but another mistake was made: not trying to vindicate the removal of Saddam Hussein using evidence, including Iraqi government documents, that was obtained after the regime's overthrow. Compelling evidence exists to show that Saddam's regime was sponsoring terrorists (e.g., Al-Qaeda), had the ability to quickly produce weapons of mass destruction, and the will to use both against its enemies. Russia Steamrolls Over the United Nations

In the phony Crimean referendum held on Sunday March 16th, 95.5% of voters in Crimea have supported joining Russia, Russian officials say. The vote was boycotted by many Crimeans loyal to the Ukraine central government in Kiev, including Tartars who make up about 12% of the Crimean population. Sergei Aksyonov, Crimea's leader installed last month after the Russians effectively occupied Crimea, announced that his government will formally apply on Monday to join the Russian Federation. Shortly after the polls closed, the Obama administration issued a statement rejecting the referendum. Obama's Cold War Denial

President Obama was AWOL on Saturday when his national security team met to discuss the rapidly unfolding events in Ukraine, including Russia's expanded military presence in the Crimea portion of Ukraine. Only a day before, President Obama had warned Russia that there would be "costs" if it violated Ukraine's sovereignty. Saturday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave his answer: He thumbed his nose at Obama. Once again, the Obama administration's vaunted button to "re-set" relations with Russia in a more positive direction has blown up in its face, as Putin continues to play by the rules of realpolitik while Obama flounders. This detached president did not even attend a key national security meeting called to figure out how to best deal with Putin's latest maneuvers. [more...]

Texas Congressman: Terror Enclave Discovery 'Appalling'

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Vice Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, says that the discovery of a terrorist enclave in Texas by the Clarion Project is "more than troubling - it's appalling." He criticized the "lackluster" response to the threat from Jamaat ul-Fuqra, also known as Muslims of the Americas. His full statement to the Clarion Project is as follows: "When this administration refuses to go to a Boston mosque to investigate radicalized attendees there such as Anwar al-Awlaki, Abdurahman Alamoudi, or the Tsarnaevs, but instead go to those mosques as part of their ‘outreach program’ to be better friends, then this country is in major trouble..." Exclusive: Islamist Terror Enclave Discovered in Texas

FBI documents obtained by Clarion confirm the find and show the U.S. government’s concern about its links to terrorism.

A Clarion Project investigation has discovered a jihadist enclave in Texas where a deadly shooting took place in 2002. Declassified FBI documents obtained by Clarion confirm the find and show the U.S. government’s concern about its links to terrorism. The investigation was completed with help from ACT! For America Houston. The enclave belongs to the network of Muslims of the Americas, a radical group linked to a Pakistani militant group called Jamaat ul-Fuqra. Its members are devoted followers of Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, an extremist cleric in Pakistan.

The organization says it has a network of 22 "villages" around the U.S., with Islamberg as its main headquarters in New York. The Clarion Project obtained secret MOA footage showing female members receiving paramilitary training at Islamberg. It was featured on the Kelly File on FOX News Channel in October. A second MOA tape released by Clarion shows its spokesman declaring the U.S. to be a Muslim-majority country. [more...] Watch Ryan on The Blaze TV

Pay Day for the Mullahs

Iran is receiving $550 million of its frozen oil revenues under the interim nuclear deal the Obama administration has pushed forward with Iran. The United States "helped facilitate the transfer" of the funds to Iran through unnamed foreign banks according to Reuters, citing a U.S. Treasury spokeswoman.  Iran's official IRNA news agency has reported that the $550 million already has been transferred to Iran's Central Bank account in Switzerland. This transfer is just the first installment of the $4.2 billion of blocked Iranian oil revenues held abroad that the U.S. has committed to help unfreeze. [more...]

Obama Blames U.S. for 'Extremism'

President Obama's State of the Union gave us a look at the premises driving his foreign policy. It showed that he believes Islamic terrorists to be driven by frustration over perceived injustices at the hands of the West, rather than an ideology. It is because of this frame of mind that he can defend the faulty nuclear deal with Iran and depict the regime as a less threatening version of the Soviet Union. [more...
